The state of falling brings up both the fear of heights, vertigo and the human need to overcome the horizontal boundaries imposed by gravity, the dream to fly. The work objective is to present and contrast both of these human needs and desires through the physical experience of the video installation.
The journey begins with a struggle and ends with surrendering. "In between", scrolls up and down in constant vertical flux and uses everyday symbols that represent descent and ascent. The images get in and out of synch, creating a sense of competition between the two parallel screens. Two winner podiums are placed in front of the screen, presents the paradoxical idea of winning.
