In ’Fibi – Discussions with Abdel Wadud,’ Fibi Souissi (of Morrocan origin) has been filmed recounting tales of her migration to Israel, in a colourful mix of street trader French, Arabic and Hebrew banter. It also addresses the fictional life of Abdel-Wadouda. Through digital effects, Fibi has been electronically superimposed over footage from ’The Border,’ a tragicomic Syrian film popular all over the Arab world during the 1980s.
