Cluster is supported by the European Cultural Foundation and by Mifal Hapais Arts and Culture Council.
This conference is held with the support of Outset.
In 2012 the Center for Digital Art became a part of Cluster, a network of eight visual arts organizations that are each located in residential areas on the peripheries of major cities. These organizations share similar work scale and are located in neighborhoods with similar problems. Cluster has the goal of facilitating knowledge exchange in relation to how our organizations operate within our local contexts.
During 2012-2013 the group collectively visits each of the organizations in the network in order to look closely at the ways in which we are each operating in relation to our respective localities. The next Cluster meeting will be held at The Center for Digital Art, Holon between February 28th and March 2nd.
A public discussion with Cluster members will take place at the Center on Friday, March 1st, at 10:30am, in which each of the group members will present their local neighborhood context as a case study for economic, social and political processes that might be municipal, national or global.
The speakers are:
Binna Choi, Casco - Office for Art, Design and Theory, Utrecht
Maria Lind, Tensta Konsthall, Stockholm
Pablo Martinez, CA2M Centro Dos de Mayo, Madrid
Emily Pethick, The Showroom. London
Pierre Bal-Blanc, CAC Brétigny, Brétigny-sur-Orge, France
Alexandra Baudelot, Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, Aubervilliers, France
Eyal Danon, The Israeli Center for Digital Art, Holon
