Last date for first round of proposals: 27.04.2010
Suggestions for projects can or should come from the commitment of time and research into the neighborhood and through dialogue with various parties in the neighbourhood, the community, and the city. The purpose of the neighbourhood meeting held was to provide focused information and acquaintance with the various parties in the neighbourhood and the city in order to enable access to them during the preparation of proposals.
Proposed projects will take place during the two year period in which the Jesse Cohen Project will take place.
Proposals should include:
+A brief description of the project (one A4 page at most)
+A description of the involvement with other "players" in the community, neighborhood or municipality
+A description of the implementation of the project - people involved and technical needs
+Project budget
+Duration of the project
Proposals should be sent to info@digitalartlab.org.il
Priority will be given to projects that take into account the special needs of audiences and communities with whom they work, projects that will succeed in encouraging the inclusion of audiences from outside the neighborhood, projects that will see in art audiences a target audience and will examine the possibilities of art in community actions, and projects that enable meaningful work processes that have the potential to be long-term.
The Center for Digital Art and the Lazarus Community Center, together with other municipal officials, will be able to provide help for the research and implementation stages of projects by coordinating with other factors in the neighborhood, helping in production, acquiring work and display spaces, and exposing the projects to broad audiences.
