Rachel Pafe, born in the United States, lives in London. Previously working in Bari, Italy- based curatorial collective, she is now earning her MRes in Exhibition Studies in London. Her studies investigate the use of the exhibition as means of examining political, cultural and institutional history.

During her residency, she collected research and interviews on the exhibition CHOSEN, 2008-2009, curated by Galit Eilat and Aneta Szyłak, presented at WYSPA and Israeli Center for Digital Art. Specifically, it investigated the notion of religious messianic desires changing during modernism to become the basis of contemporary secular drives. Her thesis will look into how the role of myth functions in the exhibition to undermine national narratives, with regard to the Center for Digital Art’s institutional agenda.
