Filipa César shoots the background operations of the ground floor of a building – the traps and the scenes never seen of the institution. The camera’s minimal pan device gives the video a fluidity that locks the viewer in anticipation of new objects, evidence, traces of existence, traces of people, and signs of activity.

The revelation of the interior spaces, through a cross-section of the fixed height of about one meter, operates as a section of reality from which everything that appears in the image - objects, buildings, walls, people, and gestures - indicates, denounces and metonymically suggests what it is out of bounds - visually and audibly. Spaces, shapes, objects, clothes, boxes, appliances, artwork, walls, shelves, and books are our guides in this journey.

And we are prisoners of this movement incantation - the traveling - that is the essence of cinema as an art of movement. The uniform motion makes it difficult to abandon the trip, because every second we find a portion of the world that only in this way we will know.
