Dr. Simon Faulkner is a lecturer in the History of Art and Visual Culture within the Faculty of Art and Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. In the past, his research has been focused on aspects of British art in the 1950s and 1960s, including work on David Hockney, R. B.Kitaj, and John Minton. His current project on Israel/Palestine concerns the relationships between visual culture and conflict, and relationships between art and politics.
Faulkner has been working at our center as a writer in residence.
