The project was produced with the support of the Slovenian Embassy. 

Mark Požlep (1981) is an artist based in Ljubljana, Celje and Brussels.

He has carried out many solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad.

His work was exhibited in The 29th biennial of graphic arts, Moderna Gallery, Ljubljana, exhibited in White Canvas Gallery, Nanjing, China, U3 - Fifth Triennial of Slovenian Contemporary Art, Moderna galerija, Ljubljana, and more.

For his work he received several awards, and was part of few residences in Paris, New York and other cities in Europe.

Požlep stayed at the Center during one month, in which he developed and produced the projectHOMELANDS. The project was executed together with Tal Gilad from the Center for Digital Art. During 8 days, both of them together with children and youth from Jessy Cohen built a mountain 4 meters high, in the backyard of the Center for Digital Art. The process was documented and was exhibited at the Center.  


His residency is a collaboration program between the Center and Tobačna 001 culture center, that is part of the City Art Gallery in Ljubljana.
