On Tuesday, April 8th, at 19:00, we will hold an artist talk with Corinne Silva. Silva will talk about her work Wounded, displayed in the exhibition, and about her practice in a wider perspective. The talk will be conducted in English.
Before the talk we will hold a tour at the exhibition, at 18:00, guided by the exhibition’s curator, Ran Kasmy-Ilan. The tour will be conducted in Hebrew.
Between 2010 and 2013 Corinne Silva worked on a trilogy of interconnected projects while resident artist at the Israeli Centre for Digital Art. In Garden State, Silva use photographic installation to examine Israel’s suburban gardens, parks and public spaces. By sculpting her own landscapes she reflects on how the State progressively expands and marks out its territory, encouraging people to spread and settle, to make roots and to grass over particular historical narratives. In thistalk, Silva will discuss Garden State in the context of her wider practice.
Entrance is free of admission!
