On Tuesday, May 13th, Irish artist Gareth Kennedy will give a presentation about his work as part of our residency program. The talk will take place at 8pm.
Kennedy will introduce his practice articulating his concerns with reference to previous, current and forthcoming projects he is developing.
Kennedy’s work explores the social agency of the handcrafted in the 21st century and generates ’communities of interest’ around the production and performance of new material cultures. Deploying an anthropological approach as an operational aesthetic these works draw on the particular social, cultural and economic histories of a location.
The event will be conducted in English.
Entrance is free of admission!
