Following a performance produced as part of his Israel Museum exhibition in Jerusalem, Michael Druks created the film “This is it” in 1983. As in his film “Territory — Living Space,” here, too, the camera lens is positioned from above, and this time it captures the objects placed on a table: nails, pens, oranges and more. One by one, the participants use the objects to illustrate their stories in various social settings, life chapters and disciplines: military, archaeology, and more. At the end, Druks mentions each object by name and defines the act as a work of art.
