Part of the body of work, "Within this Narrow Strip of Land". In Light Drinks the Dark a boisterous stag night is observed at the Dead Sea beach. The pulsing blue light of a generator to which the men dance elegantly animates Arabic rave music of the stag party, transmitted from distant ghetto blaster speakers. The music then changes to rave music and the pace and rhythm takes on a different mood. The atmosphere intensifies, the lights eventually are taken out and the pulsing flashing of blue and red spots becomes the only visible signs of human presence in an attempt to drown darkness out.
