In his recent “Demo” projects Pnini creates interventions in public space, exploring his fascination with the theatre world by creating sculptures that resemble a theatre set, each depicting a different natural phenomena. Pnini says, “My fascination with the theatre world can be seen in my exploration of the art world. I’m interested in placing the viewer where one can experience both sides of the work. The viewer is then mesmerized by the illusion created by the art-piece, while being fully aware of the artifice. This body of work questions the representation of the illusion created within the medium of Video Art, while using sculptures that contain the same characteristics as a theatre set."
