At a time of existential threat to the physical and human environment, Architect Nili Portugali takes us into an intimate journey into the Holy kabbalah city of Tsefat, Israel. Unfolding a discovery of universal insights from her holistic/Buddhist/ scientific P.O.V: What is the secret of all Timeless places in which man feels 'at Home' and what is that ' Pure Art of making' that creates them? At any culture, at any place and at any time. Via reconstructing childhood memories engraved on each stone of the city. A film crossing new boundaries - straddling the line between art and cinema. The film was world premiered at the Mumbai International Film Festival. On the film creator Nili Portugali is a practicing architect, senior lecturer, researcher, published author and film director. Her multidisciplinary work both in practice and theory is closely connected to the holistic-phenomenological school of thought. She was a senior lecturer at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem and at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion, Haifa. Her feature Hybrid film "And the alley she whitewashed in light blue" of which she wrote its script, directed, edited and did the production design She is 7th generation descendent of a family living in the holy 'kabbalah' city of Tsefat, Israel since the early 19th century. She did research work with Prof.Christopher Alexander at the ‘Center for Environmental Structure’, Berkeley USA. Her first book: The Act of Creation and Spirit of Place: A Holistic- Phenomenological Approach to Architecture, was listed in the books of the year by the Royal Institute of British Architect
