The Advanced Studies Program for Experimental Music and Sound Art of Musrara School of Art at the Israeli Center for Digital Art
The Advanced Studies Program for Experimental Music and Sound Art of Musrara Naggar School of Art in Jerusalem will be hosted at the Israeli Center for Digital Art in Holon for a two-week residency, from January 10 to January 23, 2016.
During this time, the students will work within the Center’s spaces, get to know the Jessy Cohen neighborhood where it is located, and draw inspiration from this environment for sound works, including installations, performances, radio works and more. The students will use the Radio HALAS studio facilities and collaborate with other groups working in the Center such as the Scratch Orchestra to form mutual relations and become involved with the center, the neighborhood, and the local inhabitants and environment.
Participants: Ayelet Avni, Goni Riskin, Yael Vexler, Yehiel Hemo, Hagai Isenberg, Ilan Shalom, Kim Teitelbaum, Yaniv Kuris, Ofer Tisser, Lars Sergel, Udi Bonen, Avigail Imanuel, Ayala Shamir
At the end of the residency period, a closing event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, 20:00. The public is invited. The event will present the artists’ projects and include sound performances by the students and other surprises.
