Tanja Lažetić is based in Ljubljana. She graduated with a degree in architecture from the University of Ljubljana. She works in the fields of photography, video, performance, and artist’s book. The subjects she focuses on are urban spaces, history, everyday and politics. Her recent group exhibitions include: Brighton Photo Biennal, Brighton, UK (2014), Ed Ruscha Books & Co.,Museum Brandhorst, Munchen, Germany (2013) and Gagosian Gallery, New York (2012) and It doesn’t always have to be beautiful, unless it’s beautiful, Art Gallery of Kosovo, Priština (2012).
Lažetić’s residency is part of a collaboration with Tobačna 001 Cultural Center run by the National museum and galleries of Ljubljana.
During her residency, she gave an artist talk and worked on the project 6 SWIMMING POOLS BEHIND BROKEN GLASS.
