Fadida’s mural, an unconstrained painting in the style of a children’s drawing, stretches across a one-story building in the center’s complex. The work features an ensemble of smiling characters coming apart and reassembling. Fadida’s personal style, which consists of repeated shapes, connections and overlapping between different layers of images and color is continually developing and evolving.
Some parts of the mural were painted by local children and residents of the neighborhood, who passed by while work on the painting was underway, while many of the painting’s details are influenced by neighborhood passersby who exchanged ideas, suggestions and short conversations with Fadida throughout his work.
Thank you to Liora Piltzer for her help on the mural.
