Bauer writes at the beginning of the film, ”In March 2001, I read an article in the Swedish newspaper ”Dagens Nyheter” about a six-year old boy who was found dead at the bottom of a swimming pool on the 13th of June, 1997. This happened in a small town in Eastern Germany. The article’s heading is ”Sebnitz lost honour”. After having read the article I decide to examine the case myself.”
