This artwork depicts a continuous meditative act of pinning pins into a hand until the entire hand is covered. The hand is placed on a rose patterned fabric. This fabric is the inner side of traditional Bukharin embroidery. The hand becomes a pin cushion and seems as an independent object alienated from the body. The rose design fabric in the video is from Uzbekistan. The same kind of fabric was used for covering the mattress, the blanket and the pillow for babies in the traditional Bukharin houses.
