Live Broadcast depicts three local folkloric events, two of them filmed in the public sphere, while the third is actually a shot of the TV screen during a broadcast of a national event in the public channel (Israeli Independence Day torch lighting ceremony). The first occurrence is of an Israeli folk dancing public happening, recalling of the spontaneous folk dancing in the streets of Tel Aviv on the night of May 14th 1948 following the declaration of the state of Israel. Second appears a documentation of an official IDF military oath of allegiance ceremony. The original soundtrack of the dance has been replaced to soundtrack which has been recorded during a Palestinian Scout Association parade. The three events, each of allegedly belongs to a completely different time and place intersection point, are hereby consolidate into a new homogenous autonomic space. Composing those events together structures a comment on overlapping and meeting points during daily life of various groups of population, imbuing words as ‘people’ and ‘state’ with actual meaning. Life is an absurd expanse constructed as a series of actions, whose intersection creates an ambivalent relationship.
