Ishay, who avoids using elevators, shares her anxieties with viewers through the artistic act. Here she photographed the innards of elevators, with cables moving up and down, creating a kind of dramatic and monochromatic choreography of fascinating eternity. The activity is suffocating and inhibiting, providing no escape, emoting a sense of expected loss. The original soundtrack was created specifically for this work, and accompanies it with increasing intensity. The video work was created during the artist's stay in the Museum Quartier Vienna residency program. Addition of 5+ap, one copy of the film is in the MUMOK Vienna Museum collection.
