transmediale is a Berlin-based festival and year-round project that draws out new connections between art, culture, and technology. All activities of transmediale aim at fostering a critical understanding of contemporary culture and politics as saturated by media technologies. The annual festival has turned into an essential event in the calendar of media art professionals, artists, activists, and students from all over the world. Film and video curator of transmediale, Florian Wüst, will talk about the festival's 30 year history and present a selection of films shown at transmediale 2017 ever elusive

Florian Wüst is a visual artist, film curator and publisher based in Berlin. His work deals with social and economic progress in modernity as well as increasingly with urban political issues. Since 2016 he is the film and video curator of transmediale and co-founder of the Berlin Journals—On the History and Present State of the City.
