The work features a pack of micro-drones circulating in a deserted structure made entirely from Styrofoam. Although their purpose is unclear, they seem sometimes to be flying with a distinct finality.
A group of shirtless people standing behind windows operate the drones by remote-control, while the structure is being sliced with a hot wire cord. The installation comprises five Styrofoam screens and the buzzing sound of the drones, creating an immersive nonlinear environment. The work explores ideas of swarm behavior, individuality and forms of untraceable control.
