Tikkun is a short video disguised as a still image as the monitor is framed like a picture and most of the video appears to be still.
“Tikkun Olam” is a notion derrived from jewish mysticism. The name of the video literally means to repair, to amend. It refers to a tradition in Israeli art in which the artist was conceived as a Shaman who repairs the world in his artistic practice. The reference is humoristic, the picture amends nothing, it only hides the landscape of old Jerusalem, of the sacred places.
