The negotiating table is not theatre or fiction, but rather an engagement, a dream and a lament for the future. This future is the life of the child who appears on the laptop-computer screens. A childish joke indeed, but, along with the carefree quality of the game, it is also an act that expresses the underlying truth of this project: the same fate inevitably links us all to one another. The failure and abandonment of the discussion by one becomes the failure of the other.
