In the basement of Jerusalem City Hall, Natasha Ostrovsky is constructing building models to add to the officially sanctioned model of Jerusalem.
For the past sixteen years, Ostrovsky has played a central role in the construction of neighbourhoods and public buildings in the model of Jerusalem. Among them are The Old City, The Israeli Parliament, and The Israel Museum.
These days her task is to add new buildings which have not yet been built but which have already received building permits from the city’s planning division. The city model serves the municipality as a tool for the urban planning and development of Jerusalem. In this video Ostrovsky is building a house that will be situated on Palestinian land in Occupied East Jerusalem.
