Epiphany, a secret agent on a mission, arrives at a luxury hotel room in Basel.
It is the very room where Theodor Herzl, the visionary of the Jewish State, stayed 113 years ago, during the first Zionist congress.  After inspecting the room and executing some preparative actions, she waits…Perhaps for a phone cal, for the right moment or for a revelation.
Epiphany on Vacation is the encounter of a realized fantasy with its fantasmatic origin; an encounter of the real with itself as a mere possibility.
It is part of Effi & Amir’s continuous preoccupation with the naissance of the Israeli state, and especially with the tension between the ideal and its concretization.
