Pillar of Ash (August 2015)

"And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way;
and by night in a pillar of fire, that they might go by day and by night." (Exodus 13:21)
The installation was created in the wake of the Gay Pride Parade stabbing rampage by an ultra-orthodox extremist in Jerusalem on July 30th, 2015, and the "price tag" arson attack by radical Israeli settlers on a Palestinian family home in the West Bank village of Duma the following day, July 31st, 2015.
