IlWinter Event of the Advanced Studies Program in Experimental Music and Sound Art, Musrara School.

The event is the result of the collaboration between the Musrara School and the Israeli Center for Digital Art, Holon.

8:30 pm  Sound installations, performances and music concerts

10:00 pm  Arctic Party, based on vocal communication between sea lions in the polar regions


The installations are open to the public until 23/02/17:

Hovav Landoy / "Noisemaking" – installation for a single listener

"Noisemaking" - the thin vibration that generates "absolute silence" to be revealed to the listener.

Composition based on quiet field recordings, which attempt to trace the experience of silence and the ear's adaptation to the "sound of thin silence".

Yael Weksler / Heat Waves (video)

A work that observes, both from the perspective of the random viewer of the art work and from the perspective of the performing artist's son:

Two couples watch a dance. Their reactions range between embarrassment, attentiveness, drowsiness and joy.

Western characters, local Middle Eastern sound and a ticking clock in the background.

"Pilot" in a space that allows the listener to go through the process of withdrawal through sound.
