Issa Freij’s piece, Dream is Reality, Reality is Dream, is an installation with two screens. One screen shows a sequence of portraits. The other shows a video-art piece documenting a voyage, by car and by foot, through the interiors and exteriors of the ancient city of Jerusalem; The movement is always forward, while the figures/characters change and return in the varying views of the city. The link between figure/character and view is accidental and changeable. The two elements of the piece mingle, wishing to bring a constant change in the viewer’s mental process.
