In a new series of works, Attacks on Linking, 2004, Michal Heiman carries on her work in which she draws parallels between the practice of photography and the practice of psychoanalysis; the current series deals with war photography. The handling of photographs by ”unknown photographers”, which are published in the Israeli press, enable Heiman to point out how they employ associations taken from the history of art, especially Western iconography.
