The Western media dream world and the conditions of war are contrasted and questioned in Sokol Beqiri’s work Superman. The video, in a subtle manner, presents Beqiri’s non-heroic and fragile male subjectivity, thereby opposing a (war)-reality, which demands (in Kosovo as elsewhere) “heroic” national subjects.
