Blum, Michael
Michael Blum was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1966, grew up in France, and is an artist and writer currently based in Vienna, Austria. After studying history at University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne and photography at Ecole Nationale de la Photographie, Arles, he developed a body of work - videos, publications, installations... - that aims at critically re-reading the production of culture and history.

Recent projects include
A Tribute to Safiye Behar (9th International Istanbul Biennial, 2005), Lippmann, Rosenthal & Co. (De Appel, Amsterdam, 2006), Cape Town - Stockholm (On Thembo Mjobo) (Mobile Art Production, Stockholm, 2007), Mein Land (-rotor-, Graz / Unrast Verlag, Muenster, 2008) and Exodus 2048 (VanAbbe Museum, Eindhoven, 2008). He is currently a resident at the International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York.
